You can make an application by calling 0121 289 3706 and talking to a member of staff. You can also apply by clicking here.
Once you've made contact with us, we will arrange a suitable time and date in which to discuss your care requirements
Home 1st staff can perform a broad range of tasks for you based on what outcomes you want to achieve and your specific needs and requirements.

Based on your care assessment, we will create a tailored list of activities and tasks to be carried out by your Home care workers. This can be altered upon request anytime during the course of your care and support.
We understand that care and support packages will need to be reviewed from time to time. To address this, we carry out regular reviews to ensure that you are pleased with the support you're receiving and encourage regular feedback from clients and their families.
At any time should you need anything changed this will be accommodated.
We always aim to assign you no more than 3 Home care workers. This allows for periods of time in which your primary care workers may be away on holiday
The cost of your care package will be calculated based on a number of factors including your personal care needs and financial circumstances. When you sign-up or first meet with staff to discuss your care package we will draw up a list of all your personal requirements and base our care package around these needs. These needs may change over time and so there is a possibility that the cost of your care may also change
We ensure that all of our staff fully vetted and follow our rules and guidelines when working with clients. We also ensure that our staff are always in uniform and carrying an ID that clearly shows their name, provider and a picture of the Home care workers
A manager is always available if required.
Our working hours are between 9 am and 5:30 pm but we do have an emergency contact number that is manned between 7am and 9pm. Our emergency on call number is 0121 289 3706
We send weekly invoices to all our clients after which the client can pay via internet banking, cheques, or depositing directly to the bank account displayed on the Invoice
Some clients may be entitled to financial support to help cover the cost of their care package from their local social services or through other government funding.
You have the right to request a free care assessment from your local Social Services department; this will include a community care assessment and a means-tested financial assessment to see if you are eligible to receive support with the cost of your care.
We would promote clients having as much control as possible, from arranging the outcomes they would like to achieve to agreeing on the times of calls.
Our aim is to enable clients and for them to do as much as they can themselves, safely but with the peace of mind of having an experienced care worker
If you have been assessed as needing care services, you may have the option to take a direct payment. This is an arrangement where monetary payments will be made by your local council directly to you, enabling you to choose and pay for your own care service.

If you are considered eligible for support with funding, your local council is duty bound to consider direct payment as an option for you.

For further information on direct payments contact your local social services
• The direct payment system allows you to:
• Have a greater input into what care you need
• Decide who you want to provide that care
• Arrange services and staff at times more convenient to your lifestyle
• Decide whether you want to employ an agency or your own staff
Social services will usually offer their own support services, or be able to refer you to a local support group, to help you set your care up. They may even be able to provide care for you whilst you arrange your own care. The type of services provided can be from a list of local domiciliary care providers to advice on writing your own job advertisements and employing your own staff. You are also entitled to enlist the help of a responsible individual of your choice, which may be a close friend or relative, to help you manage the direct payment scheme.
